How Many Facebook Games Do You Play?

It’s a fair question right? Pretty much everyone plays at least one Facebook game these days, well almost everyone :) They’re easy to set up, they can take much of your free time and anyone can get into them relatively easily. Fast forward a bit though and you start to realize that if you want to do well at these games, they’re actually quite hard. You’re not going to blast from level 1 to whatever the level cap is in your game of choice over night. But probably that’s why people are addicted to them.

My newest addiction is Roller Coaster Kingdom. I had played a bit of FarmVille and Mafia Wars and had done well enough.

One of the most popular content monitoring providers removes the -beta and becomes free for lifetime

Today, one of the top notch content monitoring services TheWebWatcher.com (http://www.thewebwatcher.com) removed the -beta after three years of fine-tuning and stated that the service will be free for lifetime.

“However the customers are strongly encouraged to donate when they are using the service for commercial needs.”, they said.

The service will be free for lifetime and that changes the plans of the team to make it payable after the beta- period. The users that can afford to donate however will have a “special” flag on their accounts that will increase the limits of URLs that can be monitored per account. (more…)

YouTomb collects banned videos from YouTube

An interesting project, YouTomb (http://youtomb.mit.edu/) collects the banned from YouTube videos for alleged copyright violation.

The authors says that “YouTomb is a research project by MIT Free Culture that tracks videos taken down from YouTube for alleged copyright violation.”

Има на къде в софийското метро :)

Ако ви се налага да ползвате софийското метро сутрин, за да отидете на работа и се ядосвате, че винаги е пълно и “няма повече накъде”, ето отговора: “винаги има място за още един”.

Незнам дали след като пуснат новите станции на софийското метро ще увеличат капацитета на влакчетата (или сгъстят интервала на движение), но ето как са се “справили” с проблема японците :)

Една разходка из Витоша

Ако обичате планината, но не сте много активен турист, ако искате да избягате от градската жега, но живеете в западните квартали в София, ако бензинът ви е скъп, но обичате да ходите пеша, трябва да сте непоправим оптимист, че Витоша е райското кътче за вас.

От няколко години автобуси за Витоша от кв. Овча купел няма. От още повече години не работи Княжевският лифт. Единствената възможност е да ползвате маршрутка – хем евтино, хем бързо. Да, ама не (както казваше един известен журналист). И това е така, защото маршрутката е една, идва на 30 минути, но от Банкя и докато стигне до Руски паметник вече е пълна. (more…)
